The output of memorabilia related to the YF-23 has been fairly modest over the years. The most important would be those official items manufactured for the programme. When Northrop and McDonnell Douglas joined together for the ATF effort, they called themselves the 'ATF-23 Team', and this name was the focal point for the patches worn by the workers involved in the ATF effort. The bronze 'First Flight' lapel pins were actually carried in a bag secured in the weapons bay of PAV-1 on its first flight. There has been both official and unofficial merchandise using the theme of the YF-23 over the years. The release of unofficial merchandise will most likely increase as the legend of the YF-23 grows. I now have a shop where you can purchase YF-23 themed items, the revenue of which will contribute to the maintenance of this site. There are T-shirts, phone covers, and coffee mugs etc available. |
